Last weekend was the second round of the 1/10 nitro Dutch Nationals on the fast MAC de Baanbrekers track in Rucphen. Again, we had some fine weather during the weekend, so everyone had the opportunity to find a setup to fit this fast and flowing track.
During qualification Daan Stuiver showed a very strong pace doing his three best conservative laps in 44.1 seconds. Behind him Team XRAYâ™s Pedro Rombouts was second with 44.5 seconds. In third and fourth it were Ricardo Hofmeijer and Milan Holthuis doing respectively 45.1 seconds and 45.8 seconds.

In beginning of the main final Daan got away a few meters from Pedro, as also he pulled away from the field. Behind them there was immediately an intense battle for the third place. In front, Pedro was closing in on Daan after the first fuel stop. Just before the second fuel stop Pedro closed the whole gap and was all over Daan.

After some 12 minutes Pedro passed Daan and from there Daan was able to stay very close behind Pedro. A few minutes later Pedro got a small gap and from there he pulled away little by little from Daan. After a while the gap was half a track. The last few minutes Pedro could easily bring home the race. After thirty minutes he finished doing 117 laps. Daan finished half a lap back, racing 116 laps. Behind him it was Ricardo in third with 113 laps.
